Avid UTR readers will already know Julia Deans has been hinting pretty hard that Fur Patrol would be making waves in the near future. The long dormant, chart-topping Pōneke group recently wrapped up a highly successful Pledge Me campaign, and have announced today a fresh vinyl reissue of their breakout 2000 debut album Pet is now available for pre-order, launching in stores just after Easter on 7th April. The new edition of Pet includes Fur Patrol’s number one hit and certified kiwi singalong fave ‘Lydia‘ along with all the classic songs from the album, plus previously "hidden" track ‘Bottles & Jars’ (originally tucked away in a secret nook on CD, as was the way back then) — packaged in panoramic double gatefold including vintage photography by Andrew B. White and Becky Nunes. Pressed in Aotearoa by Hollywood Records, fans better move fast as the new vinyl LP edition of Pet is a strictly limited release.

Julia Deans shared her excitement for the return of Pet: “We are beyond stoked. This is something we’ve dreamed about since the original release over 20 years ago (GULP), and now it’s finally happening.“

Hauling You Around

Bottles & Jars (The now not so hidden track!)

‘Pet’ is available for pre-order from 1st April via JB HiFi and furpatrol.bandcamp.com — available in stores from 7th April.
