Bringing the good times back to Ōtautahi’s Sumner Village in early April, The Single Fin Mingle festival is an annual celebration of traditional longboarding, jam-packed with on-land cultural events and activities to dip into — including the prestigious competition, Film Gala, Art Shows and Musical Soirees. The organisers have just revealed the lineup for this year’s The Single Fin Mingle Street Party, a dress-to-impress beachside boogie extravaganza starring Marlborough-raised / Tāmaki Makaurau-based band of brothers Daily J whose shimmering latest single ‘Tides’ has made a big splash (check out the video below), Canterbury’s dancefloor igniting Balkan / Latin / dub collective Yurt Party and local indie-rock rising star Mim Jensen. The Single Fin Mingle Street Party is traditionally a sold out affair, we advise securing your spot fast when tickets go live at 6pm tonight…

The Single Fin Mingle is an annual multi-faceted festival that celebrates traditional longboarding and the joyous culture that surrounds it. Through our prestigious competition, Film Gala, Art Shows and Musical Soirees, The Mingle is a way of building human connection through having a marvellous time.
The Single Fin Mingle Street party is one of the most anticipated concerts for hundreds of good time enthusiasts every year. Even before the first band steps a stage, the open air arena, that is erected once a year for this special night, will have attendees beaming in The Mingle Buzz – which following on from the success at our new site you can again expect that in 2023 this party will be brighter than ever before.
First to get the Mingle grooves going just right will be Otautahi’s latest star set to shine bright, Mim Jensen. Alongside her band and fueled with harmonies and destructive lead guitar lines, Mims shows are a sweeping spectrum of indie rock and passion not to be missed.
Up next and ready to fire up everyone’s feet will be the magnificent Daily J. With blissful blends of warm swirling melodies, dynamic bass lines and a subtle electronic pop influence, Daily J are sure to make their mark at The Mingle.
Finally, with their fast and fun, foot stomping fusions of Balkan, Latin and Dub goodness, Yurt party will demand you to dance – Collective joy is guaranteed.
And to top it all off … Well the Mingle is full of surprises which you best be there to believe.
These stylish surfers really know how to put on a good show with the past five years selling out, these tickets won’t hang around. They are also sticklers for fine fashion (seriously – expect to see a plethora of retro suits and the dresses) so be sure to bring out your glad rags and dress for a cool night of boogie by the beach.
